There are some upcoming deadlines for The Canadian Technology Accelerator (CTA) initiative, which is managed by the Canadian Trade Commissioners Service. As always, we recommend applying to accelerators as much as possible to increase the chance of acceptance, leading to startup success. Companies applying are selected using a competitive application process. There is no charge to apply. If accepted, companies are responsible for travel logistics, legal status in the market, visas, and expenses related to in-market activities, living and lodging.

This initiative provides Canadian high-growth market-ready companies support to access global markets and entrepreneurship services within the Information and Communication Technologies, (ICT), Life Sciences, and Sustainable Technologies industries.

There are several benefits to the CTA, including access to free office space with existing international business accelerators, mentorship from industry leaders, partners and Trade Commissioners in market, support in accessing financial resources, engaging strategic partners, and refining business models for global market opportunities, and you’ll get more exposure to global partners and opportunities to pursue clients.

The ideal CTA candidate has a product ready for market, differentiated technology, traction in the market place, has a potential to scale and can demonstrate the qualifications of the management team.
