A big congratulations to Compilr, a Halifax startup that teaches people how to code, for joining and becoming a service of offering on lynda.com, a California based online education company.

Patrick Hankinson launched Compilr in 2011 as an online tool that allows developers to write and learn code from the comfort of their web browser. Compilr is a Volta alumni graduating in September, 2013.

This acquisition is encouraging for all Halifax Entrepreneurs, and the local startup community is happy to hear that Hankinson and Co-Founder Tim Speed will continue to grow and operate Compilr from Halifax. http://compilr.com/
