Volta - Future of Work + Learning

Future of Work + Learning

The way we work, learn and live are changing rapidly due to emerging technologies, trends, a shift in societal approaches and now, of course, due to COVID-19.

Understanding and tackling the future of work and learning is not a siloed task, either. No organization, post-secondary institution or government can tackle this alone.

The Future of Work + Learning is a collaborative partnership between Volta, Manulife, Halifax Partnership, Halifax Innovation District, and Communitech, to understand, address and shape the way we approach our day-to-day lives in our communities – whether it’s employment or education-related.

Together, this ongoing project aims to address this workplace and societal issue through the lens of career expectations, re-skilling and up-skilling, and how industries are adapting to demographic shifts by hosting a series of workshops, discussions, roundtables and other, similar events, to get to the heart of the matter and make the future of work and learning a more effective and efficient one for everyone.
