Last Day to Apply!
The deadline to apply to Propel ICT’s Launch36 startup accelerator program is Monday, September 8th at 5pm.
Propel ICT created the Launch36 accelerator program for east coast founders in early 2012. Its alumni now include 31 members from across the east coast and have been recognized by BDC Venture Capital as one of the premier accelerator programs in Canada.
The Launch36 accelerator is a 12-week program with two programming options for entrepreneurs and their team called Start and Build. Start will help guide entrepreneurs through the early stages of validating, developing and launching a startup. This program is delivered onsite at one of two community partners (Planet Hatch & Volta). There is a maximum of 9 spots per cohort and sessions are twice a week from 5-9pm for 12 weeks beginning on Sept 22nd.
Build will focus on later stage start ups, those who have progressed beyond the idea phase with initial market traction, and will develop the entrepreneurial skills required to grow the company with a strong emphasis on sales and marketing internationally. This program is delivered across multiple locations across Atlantic Canada so overnight travel is required. Only startups in the Build program will be eligible for BDC’s $150,000 convertible note program.
“I know I speak for the other members of the alumni, when I say that the program allows for entrepreneurs to leverage and access the experience of those who have been there and done that to avoid pitfalls and gain inspiration,” said Melani Flanagan, Co-founder of KinderGuardian and Launch36 alumnus. “It’s an intensive, exhilarating, rewarding, panic inducing, joyful, and sweat-it-out 12 weeks with an impact that will last years.”
Each participating startup is selected by a panel of entrepreneurs and investors based on the quality of the team, product opportunity and growth potential. Candidate interviews will be held in Moncton, NB on September 12th.
To take part in the Launch36 program, entrepreneurs should be an early-stage company with a technology focus and located in Eastern Canada. There are no age requirements. To find out more, or to apply to become part of Launch36 program, visit http://launch36.ca/
