If you’re a Resident or Network Member looking to book a meeting at Volta, there are a few changes rolling out in the coming weeks that you need to know about.

As of Sunday, January 17, 2021, our existing meeting room booking system, Optix, will be phased out and we will begin using Nexudus, a desktop and mobile booking software, instead. Nexudus offers greater flexibility for users (compatible with iOS, Android, and compatible with desktops) and will make for an overall, better experience using the Volta Space. 

So what does this mean for you? 

All meetings taking place up until January 17, 2021 must be booked through Optix; but as of January 18, the platform will no longer be available for use.

The Volta team will migrate all Optix users with active accounts to Nexudus automatically, and you will be able to log into your Nexudus account as early as Monday, January 11, 2021 to begin booking meeting rooms for Monday, January 18, on.  

All active, existing Optix users will receive an email from Nexudus to activate their account, as early as January 8. At that time, please download the application on your mobile phone, or using a web browser on your computer. 

The Nexudus application is available for download by the name, “Passport by Nexudus,” on the iOs App Store or through Google Play. Alternatively, you can visit the Nexudus webpage to access your account. 

Other than downloading the app and familiarizing yourself with it, there are no other actions required on your end. All of your information – including payment details – will be directly transferred to Nexudus. If you wish to update your payment method, you can do so by editing it in your account. 

Timeline Recap: 

  • Friday, January 8, 2021: All Network Members and Residents with active Optix accounts will have their information automatically migrated to Nexudus. You will receive an email from Nexudus after this date to access and activate your account to begin booking meeting rooms from January 18, on. At this time, please download the Nexudus app on your mobile device or access your account via desktop browser. 
  • From now until Sunday, January 17, 2021: Optix will be used to book meeting rooms at Volta; the app can and be deleted from your device after January 17.
  • Monday, January 18, 2021, on: All bookings from this date must be completed using Nexudus. Optix is no longer available.
