As Atlantic Canada’s startup accelerator, Propel ICT has once again opened up applications for companies to take part in their next round of accelerator programs. A private sector led initiative, Propel helps companies take their ideas to market to become successful businesses, with some 75 companies launched over the last ten years.

“With Propel ICT’s Launch and Build programs, we want to continue the trend of steady growth in Atlantic Canada’s startup ecosystem, and provide meaningful guidance to the entrepreneurs that will transform our economy,” said Gary Dinn, Propel ICT CEO.

Here at Volta, we’re pleased to be a long-standing Propel ICT partner organization, working together to make our startup economy grow strong and stand out.

Propel also has a great team of volunteer coaches and mentors, supporting our entrepreneurs as they build innovative solutions, create jobs and drive new opportunities throughout Atlantic Canada.

The Launch program is for entrepreneurs getting started with new, or pre-revenue businesses. It helps early-stage entrepreneurs create strong teams and teaches them how they can work together to transform an idea into a market-ready product or service.

For Analyze Re, a company whose software-as-a-service offering helps reinsurers to evaluate risk, Propel ICT was vital.

“Taking part in the Propel ICT program accelerated everything we were doing as a company. The hands-on membership helped us better understand how to build our business and reach our market with our product,” said Adrian Bentley, cofounder of this Volta alumni company, based in Halifax.

Following the program, Analyze Re went on to receive about $1.4 million in funding from venture capital funds and angel investors.

The intensive Build program helps early-stage companies that have entered the revenue-generation stage to gain traction, find needed funding and grow. Build participants then work directly with mentors, coaches and peers to learn how best to build their business, refining product offerings, opening up new markets and generating more revenue. Startups in this program are also eligible for BDC’s $150,000 convertible note program.

If you’re an entrepreneur based in Atlantic Canada, then you’re eligible to apply to participate in Propel’s next Launch or Build program. To learn more or to apply, visit www.propelict.com. Автоматы Играть
