Volta’s Co-Working Space is re-opening for existing Network Members July 15
After being closed for a few months due to COVID-19, Volta is thrilled to be re-opening its Co-Working Space for existing Network Members, starting Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at 9am. In line with Public Health directives, we have made some notable changes to the space, rules for entry and capacity limits.
If you are feeling unwell, have travelled (or have been in contact with someone who has travelled outside Atlantic Canada), or have someone in your household who is currently self-isolating, please stay home. You will be required to complete a short questionnaire, and will be denied entry if any of the aforementioned cases apply to you.
Effective July 15, the Co-Working Space will be open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm with a capacity limit of 24 people. When you enter the space, you are required to complete a short survey using the iPad near the reception desk. Once complete, a Volta team member will confirm that you met the criteria for entry and allow you inside.
While working in the space, you must wear a non-medical mask at all times. The meeting rooms remain closed to Network Members, but call booths will be available. When you use a call booth or desk in the space, you must wipe down the surface using the provided disinfectant.
If you need to leave the space for any reason, bring all of your belongings with you. If you come back – and there is space available to work given capacity limits, you will need to sign in again using the iPad before re-entering.
Any time someone enters the Co-Working Space, they must sign in using the iPad – there are no exceptions to this.
To reduce the spread of germs, food and drinks will not be allowed in the space – with the exception of water, though, our water cooler will not be accessible as it is a high-touch surface.
Furniture in the space has been strategically placed to ensure proper social distancing is practiced. Do not move the furniture, and please follow the arrows on the floor when walking toward a desk/chair to avoid contact with others.
Our Network Membership tours will remain on hold, and as a result, we are not scheduling tours again until we are operating at full capacity. The space will be accessible for existing network members only. The patio also remains closed at this time.
Memberships will be reactivated upon entry to the space. For those who are not yet ready to come in, your membership will remain suspended until we are operating at full capacity.
Here’s a quick recap of some of the changes you must follow when working in the Co-Working Space:
- please follow the signage and directions for the correct flow of foot traffic – there are arrows on the ground to direct you
- wear a non-medical mask at all times
- practice social distancing by staying six-feet or two metres apart at all times
- wash your hands and use hand sanitizer frequently
- exercise proper coughing and sneezing etiquette, by coughing or sneezing into your elbow or a tissue (then throwing it out immediately)
- wipe the workspace down before you leave
- our water station is currently unavailable as it is a high-touch surface
- do not move chairs or other furniture in the space; it has been placed strategically to allow for social distancing
Anyone who is not following these directives will be asked to leave. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We’re excited to see you again – from six-feet away!
