Start-Up Marketing: The Basics (AND Some!) with April Dunford

On Tuesday, February 24, from 9:00 am – 2:00 pm, April Dunford is going to share her expertise with you. Then you’re going to go off and build a better company – faster.

April has been a start-up marketer since before start-ups were cool. She ran marketing at five successful start-ups, has been through four acquisitions and has helped grow revenue from zero to hundreds of millions. She’s also served in the executive trenches for some of the big guys. Tulip Retail, Huawei, Nortel, InfoBright, DataMirror, Janna Systems, Siebel Systems, IBM – all have befitted from April’s know-how.

Now it’s your turn.

April’s workshop will focus on the fundamentals that will help you build a better marketing engine for your start-up from the ground up. She’ll cover how to position your start-up in the market so you can rise above the noise and capture the imaginations of your target customers. You’ll learn how to use that positioning to drive your segmentation and marketing messaging to form the foundation of your marketing plan. And you’ll leave knowing why you need to understand your customer’s buying process, how to map it and how that map will impact where you focus your marketing energies.

The goal of this workshop is not to teach you how to be better at executing digital advertising, content marketing or email campaigns. The goal is to give you the tools to make your marketing more effective and efficient, regardless of what market you’re in or what tactics you choose to reach it.
