HALIFAX, NS (April 12 2022) – Volta, Canada’s East Coast Innovation Hub, has opened applications for their Volta AI program, which provides eligible artificial intelligence supply chain focused companies access to funding and programming. 

Volta AI will support more AI supply chain focused companies by providing them with the required connections, network, and assistance to create added value for their ventures. The program will help accelerate the growth of new ventures by augmenting existing resources and building new programming that Founders can capitalize on. 

Applications will be accepted until May 2 at 11:59pm, with the cohort kickstarting on June 1, 2022.

“We are thrilled to continue supporting artificial intelligence supply chain focused companies to scale, and add value to their ventures in collaboration with our partner, Scale AI,” said Martha Casey, Chief Executive Officer at Volta. “Volta AI has proven to accelerate the growth of new ventures, and we are excited to continue providing participating companies with funding opportunities and access to experts that they will need to continue scaling and reaching new heights in the AI space.” 

A minimum of five companies will be selected to participate in the cohort and they will have nine months to spend $14,000 on initiatives that will help them scale. All companies will be required to have regular communication with the Volta team, who will facilitate the program and ensure companies remain accountable.

To qualify for this program, companies must meet specific eligibility requirements, which include, but are not limited to being based and operating in Canada; having a focus on applied AI and intelligent supply chain products and/or services; having a venture that demonstrates evidence of customer interest and traction – among other requirements.
