Don’t miss Volta’s second annual Startup Empire conference on September 24th in Halifax!
Industry thought leaders such as Howard Lindzon, Michael Donovan, Marcel LeBrun and Leila Boujnane will help companies learn about growing innovative technology companies from the ground up.
August 18, 2015 Halifax, NS – Halifax based startup house Volta Labs, announced today plans for their second annual Startup Empire conference to be held on September 24, 2015. Executive Director, Melody Pardoe commented, “This conference will draw Atlantic Canadian startups together, providing access to world-class industry speakers and allowing attendees to learn from the best about how to scale their companies and drive early stage growth with sales.”
With the conference being a sold out event last year, and the impact Startup Empire had on the startup community, organizers expect tickets to sell out quickly. This one-day conference will be held at the Cineplex Theatre in the Park Lane Mall on Spring Garden Road in Halifax and will feature speakers including Howard Lindzon, co-founder and CEO of Stocktwits, Marcel LeBrun, Senior Vice President and General Manager of Salesforce Radian6, Leila Boujnane, co-founder and CEO of Idée and Tineye, and Michael Donovan, Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of DHX Media as well as many other high-calibre speakers.
“After the success of last year’s conference, we wanted to continue to bring speakers to Atlantic Canada who can help local startups grow. The conference also gives us the chance to bring in entrepreneurs from other regions and show them what amazing things are happening here in Halifax.” noted Jevon MacDonald, Volta board member and co-founder.
In addition to an outstanding line up of speakers, Startup Empire will provide an opportunity for some of the most promising Atlantic Canadian Startups to showcase their companies and products on-stage, providing conference attendees with an opportunity to meet some of our region’s most talented up-and-comers. The schedule reflects feedback from last year’s attendees, so the showcases will be shorter and separate from breaks.
Registration is now open for this not to be missed event!
