Volta is looking for volunteers to help with the Startup Empire Conference on Tuesday September 23, 2014 between 7 am to 6 pm. Startup Empire Conference is for entrepreneurs or students with startup ideas, who are interested in hearing from some of the best in the business.

Lunch will be provided for volunteers, including gluten free and vegetarian options. This is a great opportunity for your resume…you will receive a thank you letter (awesome for a professional portfolio)….and there is an after party at Durty Nelly’s for everyone to mingle and network.

Volunteers are expected to help with setup and take-down, and other operations throughout the day. Deadline to apply is September 8th.

Positions include:

4 Registration Administrators:  checking in speakers, mentors and attendees (Must be available from 7am – 10am).

4 Registration Assistants: handing out tote bags to attendees (Must be available from 7am – 10am).

1 Registration supervisor:  supervise over registration (Must be available from 7am – 10am).

1 Clarity lounge: setup and teardown, tech logistics (Must be available from 9am – 11am & 2pm – 6pm)

5 Breakfast and Lunch attendants: makes sure everyone gets the correct orders (Must be available from 7am – 2pm).

1 Mentor zone coordinator:  answer questions about where speakers and mentors are, floats between zones (Must be available from 7:30am – 5:30pm).

1 IT savvy, speaker assistant: answers any questions the speakers have, tracking progression of the agenda, troubleshooting tech problems…etc. (Must be available from 7am – 6pm)

2 Setup/ teardown : help set up and take down the tables, chairs, signage, and anything else that is needed for the event, these volunteers don’t need to stay all day but need to be back by the time the conference is over (Must be available from 7am -11am & 5pm – 7pm)

1 Coat check attendant (Must be available all day)

1 Greeter: stands at the entrance of Park Lane mall and lets people know where exactly the conference entrance is (Must be available from 7am – 10am)

1 Parking attendant: makes sure people know how to get to the conference from the parking garage (Must be available from 7am – 10am). Please email melody@voltaeffect.com to become a volunteer!
