In late October, Volta, Atlantic Fintech, and Interac came together to host an intimate dinner in Halifax; a gathering that underscored the power of community and collaboration within the Atlantic Canadian fintech ecosystem. Hosted at The Black Sheep in Halifax, the event brought together a diverse group of innovators, founders, and industry leaders, all with the shared goal of fostering connections and supporting the region's growing fintech sector.

The dinner was part of a larger collaboration between Volta, Atlantic Canada’s largest innovation hub, and Interac, a company that empowers Canadians to transact digitally with confidence by providing payment and value exchange services. As one of Volta’s major corporate partners, Interac is focused on played an active role in helping to connect with and support innovators across the country, including our growing community in Atlantic Canada. This dinner was a tangible representation of that partnership in action—fostering new relationships and solidifying Interac’s commitment to the region.

Highlighting Atlantic Canada’s Fintech Potential

The evening’s discussions were lively and inspiring, reflecting the energy and potential that defines Atlantic Canada’s tech and startup community. A key topic of conversation was the exciting developments within financial services, like open banking, the real-time rails (RTR), and the opportunities it will create for all ecosystem players in the region. These upcoming reforms are expected to modernize critical financial infrastructure, unlocking new avenues for innovation and growth.

Volta’s CEO, Matt Cooper, kicked off the evening by emphasizing how Volta’s programming is evolving to meet the needs of a new generation of founders, noting that building meaningful community connections is central to the success of these efforts.

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.
